Its been a Month :)
Its been a month and I am still going strong! (for the most part :P) I had my weigh in today and i lost about 3 more pounds and over 7 inches this time! That is a grand total of over 9lbs and over 23 inches in one month! i'm on a roll!! At this rate i could lose my goal weight (100lbs) in 10 months :D I am trying to incorporate more exercising and such in my daily routine. Whenever i go to the park with the girls i try to run around or play with them, to get them active and myself. I've been doing pretty good with my eating habits besides missing a shake meal here and there and i will admit, i bought some dark chocolate the other day.. (its healthy right?!) Although i only ate a few pieces every day.. in fact i still have some of it left in the freezer. So snacking on dark chocolate like that isn't bad right. I mean, I've heard dark chocolate is actually good for you because of the antioxidants or whatever. And if that's not true, i don't wanna hear it!!

3 week weigh in!
I lost 4 lbs!!! WOO HOOO!!! im DEFINITELY going bike riding more often now! i just need to get a bike though, so Emma can go with me in the mornings.. i gained a half an inch in my waist area and lost an inch in another place that i cant think of... so my inches didnt go down that much but my weight did and im super excited about that!!!! its a fair trade i think!! WOO!!!

Getting a bit harder.
So it seemed to me that my first couple weeks went by fine, i didnt get cravings. I was perfectly fine with my shakes and my healthy food. This week has been tougher. I've started wanting to get ranch or some other sauce on my sandwich or some candy, or eat pizza for dinner that my family has suddenly been getting more recently. For the most part ive held my ground, with a few stumbles (i got mayo on my sandwich and had some fried chicken strips yesterday). I think i may be getting bored of the same food, so i want to relapse back into the food i know i loved and was delicious to me. Tonight was really dificult. The fam got pizza and ate it in front of me while i had a chicken salad from work. Dont get me wrong, the salad was delicious, but it wasnt pizza. Also the idea of not letting myself eat whatever i want, whenever i want is starting to be a challenge to. I think this would be much easier if i was living alone and only had good healthy food choices on hand unlike the cookies in the freezer or the popcorn in the cupboard...but i cant afford my own place right now sadly so i just have to deal. Who am i to say my family cant eat what they want..... although it would be nice if i could, hah! Jeanna is coming to weigh me in tomorrow so im anxious to see if these little cheats i did had an impact on my weightloss this past week. Im hoping i will have lost more in a week then last week because i have been exercising more. Im still kinda scared to see what that scale reads in at! Oh well, it is what it is amirite?
Anyways, if you could leave me some words of encouragement or some new healthy food ideas in the comments to help me get over this little struggling period that would be awesome! ive been having alot of what i have posted in my few previous posts..with the peppers and the mushrooms and such. so if you have any other veggie ideas or anything like that pleeeaaseee leave me a comment! thank you :)

2 Week Weigh In!
So yesterday I got weighed in, and I lost 1lb and over 8 inches during the last week! Seeing those numbers drop make me really happy! Its been a bit tougher going throughout my day, while family around me is buying chips and soda and cookies and stuff, but when i step on that scale and get measured it makes everything worth it to see those numbers go down. Just the FEELING of losing weight alone is worth it to me. I've been heavy since my teenage years (skinny little thing during childhood) and I'm tired of being this way. I'm ready for a new me, a new look at life, and a new appreciation for my body. I have had a few people tell me already that my face is looking thinner then before! so that made my day :) I tried two new smoothie ideas that i had rolling around in my mind, one is a chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie. i just used both chocolate shake mix, and protein mix, added a banana, and a scoop of peanut butter along with 1% milk and plain yogurt and some ice. and let me tell you... i think its my new favorite!! I ran out of chocolate shake mix though (it was just a sample packet) but i ordered more 2 new flavors, the dutch chocolate and cookies and cream! im excited to try them!! The other shake i tried is banana split. I use the wild berry shake mix and chocolate protein mix and then i added a half of a frozen banana, about a handful of frozen strawberries then i added about a capful of vanilla flavoring and cherry extract. It was delicious!! Im always looking for new ideas for making shakes, i want to try adding some pumpkin from a can or w/e to my shake and kinda try to make a pumpkin pie smoothie, im still elaborating on that one tho. kinda afraid to use the pumpkin haha! but i love pumpkin pie so im def. gonna try it out... My Vitamins!
Alright so, you might be wondering what vitamins I take, you might not, but I'm gonna tell you anyways! I am doing the Ultimate program so I have like 10 different tablets I take, some three times a day. So basically you replace 2 of your 3 meals in the day with a shake. I have mine replace breakfast and lunch. In my last post I went over how I go about preparing my shakes. The vitamins I take are: Thermobond (fiber tablets), Total Control (boosts metabolism&builds energy), Multivitamin complex, Cell-u-loss (supports healthy elimination of water), Cell Activator (helps the body absorb nutrients), Aminogen (breaks down proteins) and Snack Defense (supports blood sugar). I also take Relax Now, Womans Choice, and Male Factor 1000 (pairs with womans choice) that aren't part of the ultimate program. I take the relax now so I'm not to stressed and I can calm down with these crazy girls around here! I am taking the womans choice and the male factor for PCOS. The Cell Activator and snack defense I take twice a day. Relax now, Womans choice, and male factor I take once a day. So yeah, thats the vitamins and tablets that I take. :)

What I Eat...
So I thought for this post today, I would just give a basic rundown of what I eat in a day. The Herbalife program that I am on calls for 2 shakes to replace 2 of your meals then 1 colorful meal, consisting of 3oz of protein, 1 grain, 2 veggies and 1 fruit. So for my breakfast I have 1 shake and take my vitamins which you take 3 times a day, some of them only once or twice a day. (I'll go through what vitamins I take in a later post) Then in between breakfast and lunch, if I'm feeling hungry ill have a small snack of yogurt, or cottage cheese with some fruit. For lunch I usually make the shake that i will break down below, i call it my Chocolate Banana Deliciousness. I'm usually hungry in between lunch and dinner so i will have some veggies such as carrots and celery with some multigrain wheat thins. Then for dinner I am usually at work (subway) so I either get a 6in sandwich with turkey, or roast beef, load it with veggies with some oregano and pepper, and for sauce I only get either Honey Mustard or Sweet Onion or just plain ol' red wine vinegar. (they are the lowest calorie count and sodium count) Then I get a package of apple slices instead of chips and drink water instead of soda. Or I will have a chicken or turkey salad instead of the sandwich.
The shakes are made with Herbalife's Formula 1 Healthy Meal shake mix. I add protein powder to it because with my plan I need to have 150 grams of protein in a day. My favorite shake, my Chocolate Banana Deliciousness goes like this:
* 8oz of 1% milk
* about 2 scoops of Dannon Oikos Greek yogurt (vanilla) its nasty by itself but it has tons of protein in it and makes the shake smoother
* 2 scoops of the french vanilla formula 1 and 2 scoops of the chocolate protein drink mix
* 1 banana
* about 3 shakes of cinnamon (i don't actually measure the spices out)
* about 2 pinches of ground up nutmeg and ground ginger
* 1/2 tsp. of Herbalife's tea concentrate. You cant even taste it in the shake and it boosts your metabolism and gives you energy. Normally you are suppose to just add it to water and drink it but I hate tea so I just throw it in. haha!
I add a handful of ice to make sure it stays cold and I let the blender mix it for a minute or so to make sure the powder dissolves well enough and to get a nice creamy, fluffy consistency.
It's really good! It's my favorite shake I've made so far. For other ones I use either just vanilla formula 1 and vanilla powder and I put nothing else but frozen fruit in it, or swap out vanilla formula 1 for the wild berry flavor, but it isn't my favorite shake mix. Its to sweet to me so I haven't been using it a lot.
I like my days off because then I get to make my own delicious meals. I'm getting tired of subway all the time! I had this past weekend off so on saturday night I had salmon with sauteed red, orange, and yellow mini sweet peppers and mushrooms. I seasoned my salmon with a little bit of lemon pepper seasoning. I had a whole wheat roll for my grain, and a nice big salad with italian dressing. For my fruit I had some strawberries. It was so freaking good! I have a picture to...

For sunday night I chopped up the same pepper and mushroom and sauteed them with chicken in olive oil. then I got some brown instant rice (I got instant rice because raw brown rice takes nearly an hour to cook!) and cooked it then added it to my mixture. then I had a salad on the side. I forgot to add my fruit to my meal so i didnt get my fruit for that meal but I think ill be fine missing one day haha! now i shall torture you with another delicious picture!
It was good! I had to add a bit of salt to it, but it was delicious.
But yeah, there is my basic rundown of what i eat in a day. :) not to bad right? the shakes are a bit powdery but once you get over that or learn when enough mixing eliminates most of the powderyness it isn't bad at all! And, since I've been on this I have hardly gotten any cravings for anything, even soda. I thought getting off of soda would be the hardest but since i started taking all these vitamins and feeding my body right I haven't even thought about having any! And that includes sugar as well :D

Intro...
Hi everyone, Kelle here. For now I'm just sharing this blog with family and friends, but if it spreads, that's great :) I just want to talk about why i decided to lose weight and start Herbalife in this first post. I have been on Herbalife products for about 2 weeks now. I wasn't able to weigh and measure myself in the beginning, but i got weighed and measured by my coach Jeanna on Saturday, last week. We will count that as my starting weigh in, even though i had been on the product for about 5 days, give or take. I weighed in at 261.4 and i dont remember the measurements. I'll get them from Jeanna so I can put them on here :) My Body Mass Index is at 42. Anyways, I just got weighed again this past Saturday. I am at 260.4 and i also lost 8 inches total! So a pound and 8 inches in a week? not to bad :)
So for those who don't know how Herbalife works,it is vitamins and supplements and shakes with the nutrients your body needs to thrive. Herbalife teaches you to eat healthy and give your body the right stuff. I believe I am safe in saying that most Americans do not get enough nutrients to feel happy and well. Now i am no expert in nutrition but only a couple days after giving my body these vitamins and making better food choices i felt better mentally. It is easier to deal with my 2 little nieces that I babysit during the day and i just feel like i have a better attitude. The fact that i KNOW im doing something about my weight (which has been a big depressant for me) makes me feel better to! Im excited to lose weight, not only for myself but for my nieces. My family has custody of them now, so now I have to keep up with them on a daily basis! I want to be able to run and play with them without having to stop and wheeze for air. I also want to feel good about my body, and quite honestly, I dont. I usually avoid looking in the mirror when getting out of the shower and such. I want to be able to look in that mirror and go "damn i look good!" I will get there. I am determined :)
A few things i have had trouble with so far is drinking enough water and exercising. I know I dont do enough of either of those. The water part has no excuse, i just dont think to drink more than i am. But the exercising one is a bit hard. Ive gone to the park with the girls and played with them but i dont feel like its enough haha. I watch the girls in the daytime and work by night, getting home around 11pm. Then i have an hour or so before i go to bed. I call it my alone time to do something i want, and quite honestly, after working and following the girls around, i dont want to exercise! If anyone has any tips for me to drink more water or what i can do to get more exercise please leave me a comment :)
